Developer Hampshire Homes’ was given the green light by New Forest District Council’s planning committee to build 150 new homes at the Cork’s Farm site, Normandy Way.

Hampshire Homes has also partnered with social housing provider Vivid Housing Ltd, which will build 53 homes, 35 per cent as affordable housing.

Concerns have been raised by Associated British Ports (ABP) which operates the adjacent docks, over the noise impact on potential occupants, effectively saying residents should not come crying to the operator afterwards over noise.
